Paling Fence

A timber paling fence is the typical style normally found as a rear or side fence on a residential property. It is usually built using hardwood posts with treated pine plinth, rails and palings.

Our Process

150mm Treated Pine Palings are nailed to the rails separated by a 45mm gap.  A 100mm paling is nailed over the gap.

Posts are placed 750mm in the ground and stabilized using 10 kg of cement stabilized soil.

Where the paling fence reaches the front of the block the fence may obscure your view when leaving your property. In this case the fence can have a rake (sloping) and low panels.

A panel is the distance between posts and is typically 2.7m. The low height is usually between 850mm – 1.2m high.
